LAS VEGAS -- Passenger traffic at McCarran Airport remained strong at the beginning of summer, registering modest growth in June.
The airport saw a 1.8 percent increase in volume – about 63,000 people – in June compared to the same month last year. For 2013, the airport is slightly ahead of last year's pace, up 0.1 percent, or about 14,000 passengers.
Most of the growth can be attributed to international visitors. Passengers from abroad accounted for an 8.5 percent increase in June and a 5.5 percent increase for 2013.
