LAS VEGAS - A viewer says construction near Flamingo Road and Decatur Boulevard is disrupting her commute to the Strip. She wants to know how much longer the road work will last.
For now, use alternate routes. The sewer rehabilitation project that is causing the delays will fill Flamingo with cones and closures between Decatur and Valley View Boulevard until August.
Drivers should take Tropicana Avenue, Spring Mountain Road or Desert Inn Road for eastbound/westbound alternates.
In addition to the daily restrictions along Flamingo, Decatur at Flamingo is also getting sewer rehabilitation. Wynn Road will also experience overnight closures from the intersection at Flamingo to the first driveway entrance at the Gold Coast.
In other words, the entire area is affected by this underground water work. A small dose of good news: crews try to keep all lanes open on weekends.
