Law Enforcement Busts Las Vegas Motorcycle Gangs

LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police announced a major bust of motorcycle gangs in Las Vegas Thursday.

According to police, federal, state and local law enforcement infiltrated several motorcycle gangs in southern Nevada over the past four years.

Because of that investigation, 32 people are facing charges for firearms and drug-related crimes. So far, 25 of those people have been arrested, another seven are still outstanding.

During the raid, police found 43 firearms, 7.5 pounds of methamphetamine, 160 grams of cocaine, more than 2,000 prescription pills and $8,000 in cash.

Some of the defendants will face state charges, others will face both state and federal charges, police said.

Those facing state charges are:

Chad Kruger, 46, of Henderson, and Steven Shaw, 39, of Las Vegas, both facing charges of theft with gang enhancement, insurance fraud with gang enhancement, conspiracy to commit theft and conspiracy to commit insurance fraud;

George Ward, 44, of Las Vegas, sale of schedule I or II controlled substance;

Donald Dussell, 58, and Victor Ramirez, 31, and Edward Chelby, 53, all of Hawaii, facing charges of battery with substantial bodily harm and false imprisonment. All three men are being held in Hawaii pending a hearing to extradite them to Las Vegas; and

Michael Hughes, 40, of Las Vegas, charge of conspiracy to distribute hydrocodone.

Those facing federal charges in the District of Nevada are:

Jeremy Halgat, 35, of North Las Vegas, charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine, using and carrying a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime, and conspiracy to distribute cocaine;

Anthony McCall, 54, Las Vegas, charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine, using and carrying a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime, and conspiracy to distribute cocaine;

Robert Morrow, 54, Las Vegas, charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine, using and carrying a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime, and conspiracy to distribute cocaine;

Michael Horenburg, 30, Tujunga, Calif., charged with conspiracy to distribute meth;

Edgar Santiago, 39, Las Vegas, charged with felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a short barrel rifle;

Daniel Murrow, 53, Corona, Calif., charged with conspiracy to distribute meth;

Jess Flores, 64, Glendale, Ariz., charged with conspiracy to distribute meth;

Michael Taylor, 46, Glendale, Ariz., charged with conspiracy to distribute meth;

Udell Wickham, 60, Las Vegas, charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine, distribution of cocaine;

Thomas Powers, 59, Las Vegas, charged with distribution of meth, and distribution of meth near a school;

Robert Kane, 52, Las Vegas, charged with conspiracy to interfere with commerce by extortion;

William Congero, 50, (place of residence not listed), charged with conspiracy to interfere with commerce by extortion;

Steven Carr, 43, Las Vegas, charged with conspiracy to interfere with commerce by extortion;

Robert Coleman, 55, Las Vegas, charged with conspiracy to interfere with commerce by extortion;

Eric Panter, 43, (place of residence not listed), charged with conspiracy to interfere with commerce by extortion;

Thomas McNamara, 50, Las Vegas, charged with conspiracy to interfere with commerce by extortion;

Michael Hughes, 40, Las Vegas, charged with conspiracy to distribute hydrocodone and distribution of hydrocodone;

Todd Wigner, 49, Las Vegas, charged with conspiracy to distribute hydrocodone and distribution of hydrocodone;

Rocco Gibellina, 25, (place of residence not listed), charged with conspiracy to distribute hydrocodone and distribution of hydrocodone;

Michael Norris, 24, (place of residence not listed), charged with conspiracy to distribute hydrocodone and distribution of hydrocodone;

Eduardo Cabrera Jr., 30, Las Vegas, charged with distribution of hydrocodone.

Brian Higuera is facing federal charges in the Central District of California.
