Nevada Taxable Sales Rise in April

CARSON CITY, Nev. - The Nevada Department of Taxation says Nevada's taxable sales rose 7.3 percent in April to more than $3.7 billion. Clark County sales rose 3.7 percent to more than $2.6 billion.

The sales in April generated more than $293 million in tax revenue for the state - an increase of 7.7 percent from the same time last year.

The building construction industry posted a large gain with sales increasing nearly 686 percent from April 2012. Motor vehicles/parts businesses and trade contractors also posted significant gains.
