HENDERSON, Nev. - A viewer says too many drivers are in the wrong lane when traveling eastbound on 215 as they approach U.S. 95 in Henderson.
The stretch is a hot spot for conflict between cars in the correct lane and vehicles rapidly changing lanes to access their desired exit.
Signs advise motorists of their choices: stay left to go north to Las Vegas or stay right to go south to Boulder City.
Drivers on 215 often realize late that they are in the wrong lane. They then dart left or cut right. The key is to choose the correct lane when you see that sign, put your turn signal on for at least five seconds, enter your lane of choice and stay there.
Travel at the ramp speed of 40 miles per hour and give yourself enough space between you and the car in front of you to protect yourself from those braking and lane changing at the last second.
