Start a new family tradition this year for the 4th of July! Celebrate the 4th of the July with the Las Vegas Philharmonic and 8 News NOW at the Smith Center! Activities include a family fun day in Symphony Park hosting several local musical groups, FREE admission to the Discovery Children's museum for ticket holders, an amazing Las Vegas Philharmonic Pops Concert in Reynolds Hall, and a spectacular outdoor fireworks display against the breathtaking lights of fabulous downtown Las Vegas!

Thursday, July 4th, 2013 

Family Fun Day in Symphony Park, 4PM-10PM

  • Live Entertainment on the outdoor stages 4PM-7:30PM
  • Food & beverage stalls
  • Live audio simulcast of the Las Vegas Philharmonic concert from 7:30PM
  • Fireworks display at 9PM

Bring a blanket and enjoy live musical entertainment on the outdoor stage during the day, emceed by 8 News NOW This Morning anchors. Food and drink vendors will be onsite to provide July 4th favorites such as hot dogs, hamburgers, shaved ice, beverages and beer. Plus, get your picture taken to commemorate this special family event at the 8 News NOW photobooth!

Children (12 and under) $5

There will be limited capacity in Symphony Park. Purchasing tickets in advance secures you entry on July 4th. No outside food or beverage, except bottled water, will be permitted into the park. Guests will not be allowed entry with recliners, chairs higher than 32", or yard/table umbrellas. The Smith Center's Boman Pavilion will be open throughout the day as a cooling station.

Las Vegas Philharmonic Pops Concert in Reynolds Hall, 7:30PM

  • Your Las Vegas Philharmonic will be live on stage performing patriotic Pops Favorites!
  • Conducted by MATT CATINGUB
  • Featuring guest vocalist CLINT HOLMES and KRISTEN HERTZENBERG
  • Audio simulcast into Symphony Park
  • Concertgoers given opportunity to watch the fireworks from the lobby or Symphony Park
  • Fireworks, presented by 8 News NOW's Paula Francis and Dave Courvoisier, broadcast live on large screen in Reynolds Hall

All concertgoers receive admittance to Symphony Park events with their ticket

$25, $50 & $75
$125 VIP tickets - a box tier or parterre box level seat and entry to an exclusive pre-concert BBQ in the Reynolds Hall courtyard at 6:00PM.

All concert ticket holders will be permitted into the Symphony Park event beginning at 4PM.
DISCOVERY Children's Museum , located adjacent to The Smith Center, will re-open for two hours from 5:30PM-7:30PM with FREE ENTRY to 4 THE PHIL ticket holders.
This includes both Symphony Park and concert ticket holders. Entry will be on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached.
