LAS VEGAS -- Power has been restored for thousands of NV Energy customers in the northwest valley, the utility's spokesman, Mark Severt, said.

Power was lost at 6:02 p.m. for 4,600 customers, he said. Three major distribution lines lost their connection to a substation that feeds the northwest neighborhoods that include Providence and those near the 215-Beltway and Elkhorn Road.

Crews restored power at 7:11 p.m., Severt said.
