Man Indicted on Murder, Attempted Murder Charges

LAS VEGAS -- The Clark County Grand Jury has indicted Michael Smith on murder and assault charges in the shooting death of a man in January.

Michael Smith is accused of killing Carlos Bell on Jan. 14, 2013 on the 400 block of Page Street in northeast Las Vegas.

Police say several men got into a fight outside of a home when Smith fired several rounds. Bell was critically injured, the other men ran away. Smith, 24, was later found suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Smith is charged with murder, attempted murder, assault and felon in possession of a firearm.
