Woman Appointed as Interim Athletic Director for UNLV

LAS VEGAS -- Tina Kunzer-Murphy has been appointed as the interim athletic director for UNLV. 

"Tina Kunzer-Murphy has agreed to step into the role of interim athletic director on the heels of Jim Livengood's retirement," said UNLV President Neal Smatresk. "Tina brings a wealth of experience to UNLV and I am truly grateful that she will be serving in this critical role."

Kunzer-Murphy has working for the UNLV Alumni Relations department. Prior to that she was the executive director of the Las Vegas Bowl for ESPN Regional Television Inc. for 12 years.

According to the news release from UNLV, Kunzer-Murphy has experience with compliance in university, conference and NCAA regulations, as well as day-to-day operations for athletics. She will start the job on July 1.
