LAS VEGAS -- Metro is currently looking for a suspect in a deadly stabbing that occurred late Saturday night.
Shortly before 11:00 p.m., Metro officers responded to the 100 block of West Owens Avenue to investigate reports of a man who had been stabbed. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim had already been transported to UMC Trauma where he was pronounced deceased upon arrival.
Homicide investigators indicated the victim was a homeless man who was sleeping between two buildings. A passerby indicated the suspect was seen stabbing the victim and ran when confronted.
Witnesses describe the suspect as a Hispanic male between 20-25 years of age and standing approximately 5-feet-2 inches and weighing approximately 150 pounds. He is clean shaven and was last seen wearing a dark blue sweat suit, a blue cap and white tennis shoes. The suspect left the scene on a silver BMX style bicycle.
