LAS VEGAS -- The Boulder City Police Department released a 911 call Monday from a Metro Police officer who shot and killed his wife and son before killing himself in their Boulder City home this past January.

In the call, Hans Walters calmly asks the dispatcher to not interrupt him as he explains to her his reason for shooting his wife, Michelle, and their 5-year-old son, Max, in the head.

"I feel terrible for doing it," he told the dispatcher.

He then tells the dispatcher he has set his house on fire and if any fire crews come near the house, he will open fire on them.

"I have to wait until the house is burning, and then I'm going to shoot myself, OK?" he said.

Toward the end of the call, Walters becomes more distressed and said, "Forgive me for my sins. Please don't call back. Thank you."

He then ends the call.
