LAS VEGAS -- A suspected pimp known around the Las Vegas valley as an entertainment insider and promoter is now behind bars.

Authorities said Arman Izadi's crimes are brutal and vicious and they have all been hidden behind the facade of the glitz and glamour of the Las Vegas Strip.

Izadi would normally be out on the Strip at night attending to his so-called entertainment business.

Metro Police Det. Christopher Baughman said that after what police found out about him, they hope Izadi stays locked up for a very long time.

The mug shot of 28-year-old Izadi is a far cry from his images portrayed on various social network sites, including that of his entertainment company, A-Team LV.

Baughman said it's that very business which Izadi used as a front to operate a successful prostitution business.

"One of the most important aspects of this crime in being able to stop him were the victims that were willing to come forward," Baughman said.

Baughman was part of a joint law enforcement operation between federal authorities and Metro that led to Izadi's arrest Wednesday night at his lavish 5,000-square foot condo on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Baughman said Izadi was known around town as an entertainment insider who can get guests into the top bars and nightclubs. Some of these guests, Baughman said, have turned out to be women used as prostitutes.

"Maybe he would treat them like a princess, treat them like a queen, and ultimately, he would turn on them," Baughman said.

After 2.5 years of investigation, detectives said the women are turning against Izadi.

He is now facing at least 15 felonies, including pandering, transporting of an adult for prostitution, first-degree kidnapping, and domestic battery with choking.

"What we have in this case are solid victims who had horrific experiences with him," Baughman said. "We will use those victims to get our conviction on him."

For now, the party could be over for the man who proudly called himself "iPimp," at least on one of his T-shirts.

The most serious of the charges Izadi faces, the police said, is first-degree kidnapping, which can carry a life sentence.

He is due for his hearing in court Friday morning.
