LAS VEGAS -- A 28-year-old Las Vegas man was arrested Wednesday on charges related to pimping, including accepting the earnings of prostitutes, kidnapping, battery, coercion with the threat of force and strangulation, according to Clark County jail records.

Arman Izadi was arrested as part of a joint effort by law enforcement agencies targeting illegal prostitution and pandering, Metro Police said.

In October 2012, Izadi pleaded guilty to attempted battery with substantial bodily harm and was ordered to pay the man he punched several times in the face $30,000 in restitution. Izadi was also sentenced to probation.

The man had been hired by Izadi to shoot a music video for him in the southwest valley.

Metro Police has not yet commented on Izadi's arrest or the joint operation conducted Wednesday.
