House on Golf Course Catches Fire

Posted: Updated:

LAS VEGAS -- A Monday night house fire on the Southern Highlands golf course caused $75,000 in damages to the home.

The Clark County and Henderson Fire Department's responded to the house fire around 10:20 p.m. on Glasgow Green Drive located on the golf course.

Upon arrival firefighters found the second floor of the 7000 square foot home charged with smoke. Firefighters say it was a difficult fire to extinguish because drywall and flooring had to be cut and removed from concealed spaces where the fire was located.

The home was under renovation and no one is living there right now.

There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
