Cadaver Dogs Find No Bodies in Key Largo Rubble

Posted: Updated:

LAS VEGAS -- After two days of searching the remains of the abandoned Key Largo Casino, cadaver dogs find no sign of trapped or deceased persons.

It was initially reported Saturday morning that the dogs alerted firefighters to the possibility that there may be deceased bodies at the site of the Key Largo fire.

As a result of the alert from the dogs, heavy equipment crews and Nevada Task Force 1 searched the rubble Saturday and Sunday and found no bodies.

Firefighters have turned over the burned down casino to the property owner which is based out of Florida. They will soon meet with Clark County officials to decide what to do with the site.
