LAS VEGAS - A viewer says on-ramps near I-215 and Eastern Avenue have been riddled with potholes since a landscaping project was completed last year.
The beltway landscaping job cost approximately $976,000. Federal surface transportation enhancement funds, along with matching funds from Clark County, paid for the project.
That money could only be used for landscaping and aesthetic features, so officials can't use that money in other areas such as repaving.
Once the widening work along I-215 is completed, however, county officials will perform pavement rehabilitation along the on/off ramps of 215 in the south valley. That includes fixing the ramps at 215 and Eastern. This work will be on the back-end of the widening project, so expect the repairs sometime in 2014.
