Drug Task Force Seizes 284 Pounds of Cocaine

LAS VEGAS -- A task force of local, state and federal officers busted a shipment of cocaine worth more than $10 million early Friday morning, after stopping a semi-trailer truck for a traffic violation.

According to Metro Police, the truck was stopped about 3:45 a.m. on northbound I-15 at Craig Road.

During the investigation, officers found the driver was in possession of drugs. The High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area, or HIDTA, task force found about 284 pounds of cocaine from within the truck, which has an estimated street value of $10.9 million.

Officers arrested the driver, 52-year-old Rahul Grewal. He is facing charges of trafficking a controlled substance cocaine and transporting a controlled substance for sale cocaine.
