LAS VEGAS -- The man accused of an attempted kidnapping told police, "I was seeing if I could have a little fun," according to the arrest report for James Allen.

Allen is facing charges of kidnapping, child abuse and burglary in the alleged attempted abduction of a 6-year-old girl at a park restroom on Sunday.

The girl told police, the suspect stood in the doorway of the girl's restroom at Mountain View Park, blocking her exit. The report details how Allen allegedly used one hand to cover her mouth and the other to try an remove a piece of gum she was chewing. As Allen moved his hand to pull the gum from her mouth, the girl said she was able to scream for help, causing Allen to release her.

After hearing news reports of the incident, a woman contacted Henderson Police to describe an incident involving a man who fit the same description. According to the arrest report, the woman told police the man had unusual interest in her 3-year-old daughter. She said, the man told her he worked at a nearby nursing home.

That information, along with witness information, led police to Allen's employer where he was interviewed by police and arrested.

The report states, Allen said, "I guess I did put my hand on her mouth." Allen also admitted to police, he is attracted to teenage girls, views pornography of teenage girls and likes to go into girls' bathrooms.
