LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Las Vegas' largest union says more than 100 hotel and casino workers plan to block traffic on the Strip to protest stalled contract negotiations with the Cosmopolitan casino.

Culinary Union spokeswoman Yvanna Cancela says the planned Wednesday evening protest will be the first time in two decades that workers have engaged in civil disobedience outside a unionized casino.

Workers have been in contract talks with Cosmopolitan Las Vegas owner Deutsche Bank for two years.

Earlier this year, the union held two one-day pickets outside the casino.

Cosmopolitan spokeswoman Amy Rossetti says management is continuing to negotiate with labor.

She says the casino planned to work with authorities to maintain casino access during the protest.

The Cosmopolitan is next to the Bellagio resort and across Las Vegas Boulevard from Planet Hollywood.
