LAS VEGAS -- A motorcyclist was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle Saturday afternoon. The vehicle was part of a funeral procession.
According to Metro Police, the crash happened at 1:14 p.m. at the intersection of Lake Mead Boulevard and H Street.
Police said, the motorcyclist and a passenger were traveling westbound on Lake Mead when a vehicle ran a red light on H Street, striking the motorcycle.
The passenger of the motorcycle and driver of the vehicle were also transported to the hospital. Their conditions are not known.
Some medical providers say they often deal with Hispanic patients who are afraid to seek medical care. It's hoped the opening of a new medical clinic will change that.
