HENDERSON -- Henderson Police say a motorcyclist is in critical condition after being hit by a car that ran a red light.
It happened Sunday around 6 p.m. at Paseo Verde Parkway and Green Valley Parkway.
The man on the motorcycle was transferred to Sunrise Hospital with severe head trauma. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
The motorcyclist did have a helmet on, but Sgt. John Gayer with the Henderson Police Department says it may not have been certified by the Department of Transportation.
Sgt. Gayer also says the man on the motorcycle may have been drinking.
So far in 2013, there have been no fatal accidents in Henderson.
