LAS VEGAS -- A 15-year-old boy is dead after a crash at the intersection of Rainbow Boulevard and Lake Mead Drive on Saturday night and Metro police say a drunk driver is to blame.
Metro Police say a black SUV carrying three people crashed into a light pole.
The teenager suffered severe head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene. At this point its unclear whether that person was wearing a seatbelt.
The driver of the SUV failed a field sobriety test after the accident and was taken into custody.
This is the 25th traffic related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction this year.
