    Lines of people were wrapped around The Lotto Store twice this weekend for the second largest lottery in the history of Powerball.

LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police announced Saturday a major bust of a southern Nevada gang.

According to police, officers and agents from several jurisdictions around the Las Vegas valley arrested 12 members of the gang Thursday, during a plan called Operation Washout. Officers also seized guns, money and drugs in the raid.

The arrests came after undercover officers bought about five pounds of methamphetamine from several suspects near the intersection of Charleston and Lamb boulevards.

Immediately following the purchase, five search warrants were served in a coordinated effort throughout the valley, including the following locations:

 

  • The 4200 block of Middlesex Avenue
  • The 4700 block of Lucite Lane
  • The 2200 block of Daley Street in North Las Vegas
  • The 1500 block of South Christy Lane
  • The 3300 block of South Arville Street

 

Police arrested the following people on several charges mostly related to drugs:

 

  • Jorge Alejandro Acosta, 22 years of age of North Las Vegas
  • Manuel Cardusorafael, 23 years of age of North Las Vegas
  • Guadalupe Tamayo, 26 years of age of North Las Vegas
  • Edgar Robles, 24 years of age of North Las Vegas
  • Roberto Nabarro, also known as, Jesus Delbalt-Garcia, 29 years of age of Las Vegas
  • Fabian Sarmiento, 19 years of age of North Las Vegas
  • Claudia Madrid-Valdez, 30 years of age of Las Vegas
  • Lleimmy Madrid-Valdez, 22 years of age of Las Vegas
  • Jonathan Vega, 19 years of age of Las Vegas
