LAS VEGAS - Several viewers want to know why the left turn traffic light from southbound Rancho Drive to eastbound Sahara Avenue takes so long.
Several drivers say they are frustrated by the lengthy wait times at this light. Some say they were so frustrated, they ran the light and turned - creating danger at an already packed intersection.
Most of the issues were reported between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. Traffic8 asked RTC FAST to look into the problem. Technicians observed the intersection March 5 with their cameras and signal software. They determined the detection for the left turn light wasn't working correctly.
City of Las Vegas officials have been contacted and plan to correct the problem.
