LAS VEGAS -- Aspiring rapper Kenneth Cherry's former girlfriend is in jail. Cherry is one of the victims of the Las Vegas Strip shooting and deadly car crash that claimed three lives.
Asmayit Hagos appeared at the news conference held by the Cherry family after Kenneth Cherry's death on Feb. 21. It was that appearance that led parole officers to arrest Hagos.
Hagos had a warrant for her arrest for allegedly violating her probation in California for prostitution related charges in Las Vegas, according to the Nevada Department of Parole and Probation.
Hagos is the former girlfriend of Cherry, who also went by Kenny Clutch. Cherry was shot to death in his Maserati on the Las Vegas Strip. The shooting triggered a multi-vehicle crash that killed two other people.
She is the mother of one of Cherry's children. She was also arrested in April 2010 at Mandalay Bay during a prostitution sting.
