LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Las Vegas police say they have few details about a dark-colored SUV that fatally hit a person and left the scene Wednesday night.
Authorities say the crash happened about 10:30 p.m. when the pedestrian was crossing Torrey Pines Drive north of Casada Way.
Police say it appears the pedestrian was outside a marked crosswalk at the time. Details about the person's identity, age and gender were not immediately available.
The vehicle continued north on Torrey Pines Drive without stopping. It's described as a mid-size or large SUV.
The crash marks the 23rd traffic-related fatality this year in Las Vegas police jurisdiction.
