LAS VEGAS -- A woman struck and killed by a car Sunday has been identified by the Clark County coroner as 52-year-old Brenda Kay Smiley of Las Vegas.

Smiley was walking on the sidewalk of Valley View Boulevard near Sahara Avenue when a car drove up onto the sidewalk hitting Smiley and another pedestrian.

The driver of that vehicle, Jason Manuma, left the scene and was later arrested for DUI. According to the arrest report, police said, Manuma could hardly stand up and was slurring his speech during his arrest. Officers said they found marijuana paraphernalia in his truck.
