Man Dead After Prius Hits Power Box in Summerlin

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A 65-year-old man is dead after his Toyota Prius went off the road and hit a power box in a Summerlin neighborhood in the wee hours of the morning.

Las Vegas police say the crash happened a little before 2 a.m. Tuesday on Button Willow Drive, near Crooked Corner Street.

Authorities say the Prius was on Button Willow when it veered off the roadway, drove across a sidewalk and hit the box.

The driver was taken to Summerlin Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His name and an exact cause of death haven't yet been released.

Officials say the driver may have had a medical episode before the crash.
