Metro, DA to Hold News Conference on Strip Shooting

LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police are holding a news conference at 2 p.m. to brief the media on the latest in the case involving a deadly shooting on the Las Vegas Strip last Thursday.

Metro Police Captain Chris Jones and District Attorney Steven Wolfson will conduct the briefing. 8NewsNOW.com will carry live streaming coverage.

Police are searching for Ammar Harris who they have identified as the person who fired the deadly shots that killed aspiring rapper Kenneth Cherry Jr. After the shooting, Cherry lost control of his Maserati and hit several other cars, including a taxi cab which exploded killing the driver and passenger.   

The search for Harris has widened to include several states. Harris' Range Rover was impounded over the weekend after it was found parked at condominium complex near the Las Vegas Strip.
