Police are still searching for the gunman they believe is responsible for three deaths on Thursday.
Police say 26-year-old Ammar Harris shot and killed a man driving a Maserati causing him to crash into a cab killing the two inside.
Saturday officers found and impounded the getaway car. The Range Rover was found just a mile east of the shooting and crash at The Meridian condo complex.
Police will not confirm if they also raided a condo looking for Harris, but people who live in The Meridian say they heard the sounds of flash bang grenades. The non-lethal explosive is often used to disorientate a suspect during a raid. Residents say they're shocked this could happen inside the guarded and gated complex.
"The security here is really good," said Dave Baird. "To get in and out. They check every single person, so to have it right here in your own back yard it's kind of unsettling actually."
"It's pretty scary you know," said Anup Upendre. "I've been living in this neighborhood for four months now, and I thought it was pretty safe."
Police do confirm they have impounded the Range Rover and are working to locate Harris. They say he also goes by Ammar Asim Faruq Harris and variations of that name. Harris has an extensive violent criminal history. His charges include robbery, sexual assault, kidnapping, coercion with a deadly weapon, and pandering with force. Pandering is often a charge associated with prostitution. He's 5'11" and 180 pounds. He has several distinctive tattoos including a heart below his right eye and a large owl on his neck.
"He might be long gone, but they'll get him though," said Nathan Robinson passing by the condos. "Eventually they will get him."
Police will not confirm if Cherry and Harris knew each other before the confrontation, but several residents of The Meridian say they've seen both of them inside the complex.
