LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police have identified the person believed to be responsible for the deadly shooting on the Las Vegas Strip Thursday morning that caused a fiery crash.
The person Metro believes fired the shots is now identified as 26-year-old Ammar Asim Faruq Harris, and variations of that name.
The black Range Rover, which was the suspect's vehicle in the shooting, was located Saturday afternoon at an apartment complex near Flamingo Road and Koval Lane.
According to police, Harris has an extensive criminal history and should be considered armed and dangerous. He has several distinctive tattoos including a heart shaped tattoo below his right eye, and a large owl tattoo on his neck.
Police said Harris and Cherry got into an altercation at the Aria at CityCenter before the shooting happened on the Strip.
Anyone with any information as to Harris' whereabouts or information concerning this incident is urged to contact the LVMPD Homicide section at 828-3521 or Crime Stoppers by phone at 385-5555 or on the internet a www.crimestoppersofnv.com. If Harris is sighted, citizens are urged to call 911.
