LAS VEGAS -- The woman accused of killing a 10-year-old girl was indicted Thursday on charges that include murder, kidnapping, burglary and mayhem with the use of a deadly weapon.
Stokes, who had been dating the girl's father, picked up Jade on Dec. 21, 2012, to take her Christmas shopping. Later that day, Stokes was arrested after she was accused of slashing a coworker with razor blades at the Bellagio casino.
The girl's body was found Dec. 27 near N. Fifth Street and Deer Springs Way by a passerby. According to the Clark County coroner, Jade was stabbed to death.
The indictment also charges Stokes with attempted murder and battery in the attack on her coworker.
