LAS VEGAS -- A man is in the hospital after being hit by a car Saturday night. It happened on Flamingo Road, near El Capitan Way shortly after 7:00 p.m.
Las Vegas Metro Police say the 26-year-old man was walking along the road when he darted out in front of a car. Witnesses told police the man had no pulse, and CPR was performed.
He was then transferred to UMC Trauma with life-threatening injuries.
Police don't believe alcohol or speed were factors for the driver.
The pedestrian was wearing dark clothes, and it's unclear if alcohol played a role in his decision-making.
There have been 19 fatalities in Metro's jurisdiction so far this year.
