LAS VEGAS -- The Thursday graduation of a group of Las Vegas Fire and Rescue Academy recruits has been canceled after allegations of cheating surfaced, the city of Las Vegas confirmed.
A full investigation into possible cheating during a written exam has been launched, city spokesman David Riggleman said in an email Wednesday night.
"The city will refrain from further comment until the investigation is completed, except to say integrity is a core value of the city of Las Vegas and allegations of this nature are taken very seriously," Riggleman said.
The number of recruits in the class was not immediately available.
