2 Pedestrians Hit on Valley Roads

A male was hit near the Fashion Show Mall near the Las Vegas Strip Thursday night. A male was hit near the Fashion Show Mall near the Las Vegas Strip Thursday night.

LAS VEGAS -- Two pedestrians were hit by cars in the Las Vegas valley Thursday night, Metro Police said.

The first person was hit about 7:45 p.m. near the Fashion Show Mall at Spring Mountain Road and Las Vegas Boulevard. That person, described as a male, was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

It is unknown whether he was in a crosswalk.

Several miles north of the first collision, a person in a wheelchair was hit by a car, also about 7:45 p.m., in the 5200 block of E. Craig Road near Nellis Boulevard. That person had critical injuries and was taken to a hospital.

Metro's fatal detail was called to the Craig Road scene.
