LAS VEGAS -- NV Energy is warning customers that stolen company uniforms are being used by some people attempting to gain access to homes to commit robberies.
NV Energy officials say employees will never enter a home unless an appointment has been previously set up. In some cases, technicians may knock on a door to alert a customer they are working in the area, but will not enter the home.
Employees are also required to wear identification badges showing their picture and name at all times.
Customers are being advised not to open the door and to request to see the ID badge. Customers can always call NV Energy Corporate Security at 402-5007 to verify an employee.
