LAS VEGAS (AP) -- The search for a former Los Angeles police officer accused of killing three people, including a cop, extends to the Las Vegas area, where he has a home.

Clark County property records show Christopher Dorner owns a small two-story, three-bedroom home in a neighborhood about nine miles southwest of the Las Vegas Strip.

Clark County property records show he bought the house in 2007 for about $265,000.

Las Vegas police officer Laura Meltzer says patrol officers received information about Dorner on Thursday, including a photo.

Dorner also has ties to Fallon Naval Air Station in western Nevada. According to the Reno Gazette Journal, FNAS public affairs officer Zip Upham said Dorner was the commanding officer of a Naval Reserve Security unit in Fallon for nine months in 2009.

A badge and identification belonging to Dorner were found in San Diego early Thursday morning.

San Diego police Sgt. Ray Battrick says Christopher Dorner's LAPD badge and ID were found by a citizen near the city's airport. Battrick says the items were turned in to police at 2:27 a.m.

CHP Alert for Dorner

A massive manhunt is under way across Southern California for Dorner. Los Angeles police say he is being sought for two weekend killings and is a suspect in an overnight shooting in nearby Riverside that killed one officer and critically wounded another.

The shooting happened early this morning in the Los Angeles suburb of Corona. The wounded officer is in surgery. A third officer suffered a graze wound.

Police say Dorner implicated himself in the killings in a "manifesto" that included threats against several people, including members of the LAPD. In the "manifesto," Dorner mentions living in several cities including Las Vegas.

Los Angeles police say two Newton station officers on security duty were also involved in a shooting overnight, but they weren't hurt.
