Home Depot to Hire 600 in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS -- Home Depot announced Wednesday that it plans to hire 600 seasonal workers in the Las Vegas valley.

Company officials say they are preparing for a busy spring selling season. They also add, seasonal jobs often turn into permanent positions. Last year, nearly half of the people hired ended up with permanent jobs.

Nationwide, the company is hiring 80,000 workers.
