LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police officers have arrested a third man in connection with a violent home robbery in the 8800 block of Casa Colina Court in the northwest Las Vegas valley Jan. 30.

Kyron A. Butler, 22, was arrested Tuesday and faces several charges, including robbery with a deadly weapon, burglary, kidnapping and auto theft.

According to police, one of the three men had forced one of the home's two residents inside at gunpoint as he was arriving home in the early morning hours of Jan. 30.

After waking up the other resident, the suspects then threatened both residents with handguns and ransacked the home, the police said. At least one of the suspects fired several shots at the residents before leaving with valuables, the residents' car keys and their cars.

No one was hit by the gunfire.

Early the next morning, North Las Vegas police officers spotted one of the resident's cars near the 215-Beltway and Decatur Boulevard. When officers tried to stop the car, all three men inside ran from the car. Two of the three suspects, Ezra Peoples, 18, and Maurice Daniel Talley, 19, were arrested after what police called an intense search.

Inside the car, the police said they found evidence that tied Peoples and Talley to the robbery. Numerous weapons were also found in the location of the traffic stop, the police said.

Peoples and Talley face similar charges as Butler, but Talley faces additional charges of battery with a deadly weapon, attempted murder and discharging a firearm in a structure.

The investigation into these crimes remains ongoing. Anyone with any additional information is urged to contact Metro's Robbery Section at 702-828-3591 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or online.
