Metro Police Hold First Tuesday Meetings Tonight

LAS VEGAS -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's First Tuesday of the year will cover various topics in different neighborhoods.

The doors to Area Commands throughout Clark County will be open on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. Each month is a different subject and February is "Captain's Choice." Attendees will learn more about what's happening in the area they live in.

Here is what will be discussed at each location:

Bolden Area Command - Home Burglaries

Convention Center Area Command - Tourist Crimes

Enterprise Area Command - Pedestrian Safety and Traffic

Downtown Area Command - Keeping Up Digitally With Your Neighborhood

Northeast Area Command - DUI Awareness and Demonstration

Northwest Area Command - Property crimes and prevention tips.

Southeast Area Command - Crime trends in the area and prevention tips

South Central Area Command - Property crimes and Crime Stoppers

Anyone is welcome to attend. After discussing the assigned topic, citizens will be able to learn more about their neighborhood and meet their local police officers.
