LAS VEGAS -- A man is dead after a fight in the courtyard of an apartment complex.

The fight happened about 9 p.m. Friday at an apartment complex near Charleston Boulevard and Mojave Road.

The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as 37-year-old Kary O'Keith Wells. His cause of death is still pending.

According to police, Wells was grilling in the courtyard with some neighbors when two men approached him. The two men started shouting at him and then punched him in the face. The two men then ran from the area.

When police arrived, they found Wells on the ground. He was taken to Sunrise Trauma Center and was pronounced dead.

The man who punched the victim is described as a black man in his early to mid-20s with long hair and a tattoo on his neck. The second man is described as a black man in his late teens to early 20s.
