LAS VEGAS -- The Metropolitan Police Department needs your help finding a hit and run driver who killed a pedestrian early Sunday morning.
The hit and run happened shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Sahara Avenue near Tam Drive just east of the I-15.
Witness statements and evidence at the scene indicate the pedestrian was walking on the north sidewalk of Sahara and entered the same travel lane as the vehicle. The vehicle struck the pedestrian and continued driving.
The vehicle is described as an early 2000's gray sedan.
This is the 16th traffic related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction this year.
This collision remains under investigation.
