LAS VEGAS -- A Las Vegas company that sells natural remedies said it is expanding in the valley after a public response to an I-Team series back in November.
The company, Longevinex, is holding free seminars this week at Alexis Park, 375 E. Harmon Avenue, to teach consumers how to use natural products as a way to avoid over-reliance on prescription drugs.
Among the alternatives the company is promoting is a compound that includes Resveratrol, derived from red wine grapes and touted by some researchers as beneficial to heart and cancer patients.
It has also shown promise for patients who are losing their eyesight due to macular degeneration.
Company spokesman Bill Sardi said the public response to the I-Team reports in November was so strong that the company is expanding its operation in Las Vegas with a larger building and additional employees.
The seminar, "How To Stay Healthy Without Prescription Drugs," is being presented Sardi, who also runs Knowledge of Health. The seminar begins at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Alexis Park. To RSVP, call 702-462-7956.
