LAS VEGAS -- The first case to be reviewed by the new Police Fatality Public Fact-Finding Review will be Stanley Gibson's death.

Gibson was shot and killed by Metro Police on Dec. 11, 2011. The review is set for Feb. 28, 2013 at the Clark County Government Commission chambers.

The new review board replaces the controversial coroner's inquest process.

Gibson, a Gulf War veteran, was shot by Metro Police Officer Jesus Arevalo after he refused to exit his car. Police were at a condominium complex investigating an attempted break-in when Gibson drove into the parking lot. When officers approached Gibson's car, he put it in reverse and hit a patrol vehicle which led to a standoff and the shooting.

Family members said Gibson was disoriented after being off his medication.

Dates were also set for other police shooting cases:

Ronald Morrison - 10/29/2012 shooting involving Metropolitan Police Department
Daniel Hathorne - 11/2/2012 shooting involving Metropolitan Police Department
Justin Hoey - 11/7/2012 shooting involving Henderson Police Department
