LAS VEGAS -- A 7-year-old boy was transported to the hospital with a broken leg after being struck by truck Sunday afternoon.

Metro Police say the call came in around 4:30 p.m. from a neighborhood near Alexander Road and Lamb Boulevard.

A suspect driving a white Ford F-150 fled the scene after striking the boy and air patrol was called to assist.

The police helicopter found the suspect and vehicle at a car wash near Craig Road and Simmons Street in North Las Vegas and took them into custody.
