8 On Your Side wants to help you solve your problems and get you results! However, before writing to Michelle Mortensen and her team please make sure you have done the following.

  1. Contacted the company/individual and explained your complaint attempting resolution on your own.
  2. If you could not get resolution during your first attempt, you should have requested a chance to work out the problem with a supervisor.
  3. Check the 8 On Your Side Frequently Asked Questions page before sending your email. There you will find many answers to the question you may have.

If you have completed all of these steps without success, then you are ready to e-mail Michelle Mortensen.

8 On Your Side primarily deals with solving consumer problems, usually, but not limited to, the purchase of goods and services by individuals and getting you money back. We also help notify you of scams and recalls. We do not help resolve disputes between businesses.

Except in extraordinary cases, we do not handle family law disputes, criminal issues, landlord/tenant disputes, employment/unemployment and medical insurance issues. 8 On Your Side cannot help resolve civil disputes such as car accidents, traffic tickets, planning and zoning issues, suspected malpractice and issues that have been, are scheduled for, or are already in court or before an attorney or arbitrator. We can, however, refer you to the proper agencies that may be able to provide the help you need.
