LAS VEGAS -- Two people were arrested in New Orleans Tuesday in connection with the killing of a 33-year-old Las Vegas man.

Jason Byes's body was found in Kingman, Ariz., on Monday after firefighters extinguished a small fire reported near an Interstate 40 off-ramp.

According to Las Vegas Metro Police, Brown and Bowden killed Byes at an apartment complex in the 1800 block of Lewis Avenue near downtown Las Vegas the night of Jan. 6.

Bowden is also facing a charge of possession of a stolen vehicle. They are awaiting extradition to Las Vegas to face the charges.

The investigation into this incident remains ongoing. Anyone with any information concerning this event is urged to contact Metro's Homicide Section at 702-828-3521, or Crime Stoppers by phone at 702-385-5555.
