The individual will be responsible for working with sales management and online production staff to help produce and sell online sales packages, category sponsorships, and site sections for 8NewsNOW.com. This position will have a focus on new business development.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years online media sales experience preferred.
Minimum of 2 years online media sales experience within the Las Vegas DMA.
Online and or traditional advertising sales, promotions and sponsorships.
Advertising agency, direct marketer related experience including contacts with existing relationships.
Ability to explode off the line and close deals quickly with limited supervision.
Working knowledge of CPM, CPC, CPA pricing models.
Strong sales acumen including: prospecting, forecasting, pitching, presenting and closing.
Create dynamic, complex and target proposals customized to the specific needs of the client.
Proven track record of business planning and achieving measurable goals.
Outstanding people skills. Strong in-person, written and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent self-management skills.
B.S. or B.A. degree in Marketing or Business Administration, or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities:
Candidate will grow online media revenue utilizing all interactive platforms falling under the 8NewsNOW.com umbrella. These may include but may not be limited to: banners, including rich media, on both desktop and mobile platforms, e-newsletter and permission based opt-in advertising and sponsorships, SMS text messaging, mobile advertising, LBS, search engine marketing and various analytical tools.
Candidate will work the local market selling to a wide variety of businesses: restaurants, spas, retail, doctors, dentists, destination, golf courses, etc.
Create persuasive sales presentations using Microsoft Power Point and Excel detailing market trends, case studies and 8NewsNOW solutions.
Deliver advertiser reports via Double-Click (DART) at conclusion of campaign or as required by client.
Successfully close accounts in a timely fashion.
Daily market cold-calling.
Generate new and viable leads on a daily basis.
Effectively present and represent 8NewsNOW in a professional manner to potential clients.
Finally, anything else not listed above which we may ask. This is a role which requires a "can-do roll up your sleeves" kind of mentality!
