LAS VEGAS -- Power was restored to thousands of NV Energy customers near Desert Inn Road and Maryland Parkway about 5 p.m. Monday.

According to NV Energy, 3,684 customers lost power Monday afternoon. NV Energy reported that the outage was due to an equipment failure.

Traffic lights were out also near Desert Inn and Eastern Avenue, causing backups in the area.
