Pedestrian Killed Late Friday Night on Tropicana

LAS VEGAS -- A pedestrian was hit and killed late Friday night.

Metro says the accident happened shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Tropicana Avenue, east of Decatur Boulevard. 

Witness statements and evidence at the scene indicate a 2003 Lexus was traveling eastbound on Tropicana when it struck the pedestrian who was walking outside of the marked crosswalk.  

The pedestrian was transported to UMC Trauma and was pronounced dead by the attending medical personnel.

This collision remains under investigation.
